If there was a song that would typify my life I guess it would be "On the Road Again" . From the beginning my family travelled everywhere because my dad was in the Air Force. Japan, Morocco, Germany, New Mexico, Washington State, Texas, and everything in between. After high school graduation in Tacoma, WA, I spent half my college days at Willamette Univ. in Salem, Ore, and the remainder in Seattle at the Univ of Washington.

My first and truest love is for music. With a degree in music (classical piano) I set out to make a living, teaching piano, accompanying choirs and soloists. To supplement that I also studied Veterinary Technology and spent the next 5 years as a surgical technician in California, Washington and British Columbia.

But a developing interest in the visual world, and photography led me to the Banff Centre of Fine Arts, in Alberta, Canada and in the process I immigrated there. That two-year study in photography proved to be the basis of my visual arts work for many years to come. In British Columbia I freelanced, continued with musical endeavors, raised a family and engaged in several businesses from owning a health food store, to working with my partner on our commercial salmon boat.

In 1989 I returned to the U.S. and started a back country photographic 4X4 touring company in Sedona Arizona. For four years I taught photography, and blended the spiritual or "inner vision" concepts to the art. Soon my son, crying out for green grass and activities for kids his age, urged us to move to Aspen Colorado in 1993 where we enjoy the cultural and environmental paradise of the area to this day.

Aspen life has included numerous performance opportunities for me, and a rich visual arts arena to work within. As a photographer for the Windstar Foundation Symposium, I was able to meet and photograph many dedicated global leaders in the effort to protect the planet - including John Denver, Tom Crum, Amory Lovins, David Brower, Matthew Fox, Noel Brown, Dennis Weaver, John Robbins, Cheryl Charles, Sally Ranney and more. The associations made there have allowed me to come to the area each summer to enjoy the Aspen Music Festival concert series and work with clients on their website needs.

I've loved to travel from the day I was born, and to have the opportunity to be where I'm called to be is priceless to me. Now I move between Aspen and Sedona seasonally and look forward to each new adventure and each new chance to be musically or visually creative.
